27 September 2006 —Barcelona is the designated meet-up place: Linda, our friend from Boston, will fly in twelve hours before we arrive. Brian will join us from Australia the next day. Brian's daughter Rita is coming from London. Rita just moved to London from Sydney. We have no expectations about Barcelona—Brian picked it; it sounds cool.
