Most shelter animals are a victims of circumstance rather than abuse. That is the point of the new ad campaign of Animal Care and Control of New York City.

I'm Midge. I am a doll in the Barbie line of toys by Mattel, first released in 1963. I was created, along with Skipper, to counteract criticism that claimed Barbie was a sex symbol. But I have a fuller, gentler face mold that is less sexually intimidating, although my body proportions are the same as Barbie's (not!)
